Is First Lady Michelle Obama Set To Grace Another Vogue Cover?
It’s no secret that when it comes to fashion, First Lady Michelle Obama is a movement!! According to The Daily Beast, a study conducted in 2010 by David Yermack (professor of finance at the Stern School of Business at New York University) found Mrs. O’s effect on the fashion industry to be roughly $2.7 billion. That number has no doubt increased dramatically since then.
With so much attention paid to what and whom she’s wearing, it’s no surprise that the First Lady is rumored to be gracing the cover of Vogue for the second time. According to Clutch Mag:
“It’s rumored that she was photographed for the cover of Vogue yesterday when the publication’s staff was spied moving cameras and suitcases into the White House. There has been speculation that world renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz shot Mrs. O for the March issue. This time, however, her husband President Barack Obama could be involved.”
The First Lady appeared on Vogue‘s cover for the first time back in March 2009. In response to the rumor that she’ll appear again in the near future, the mag’s rep, Megan Salt, told The Washingtonian, “We never comment on rumors about future editorial.”
