Wale Is Helping Launch The Adidas Originals TS Lite AMR “Trophy Hunter” At NBA All-Star Weekend

Wale knows his sneakers. You probably know that already, given how often he shows off exclusive, hard-to-get sneakers on his Twitter and Instagram pages. If a sneaker is hot—or if it’s going to be hot sometime in the future–you can bet that Wale will have them on his feet. The MMG rapper usually isn’t so invested in a sneaker that he takes part in a launch event for it, though. So, it’s interesting to hear that he’ll be riding for the Adidas Originals TS Lite AMR “Trophy Hunter” sneaker at NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston this coming weekend.

The TS Lite AMR—which is a fresh take on the classic Adidas Forum sneaker—is a brand-new silhouette for Adidas. So, they’re inviting Wale to help launch it in order to get the word out about it. This particular “Trophy Hunter” colorway of the TS Lite AMR features a gold anodized upper with black accents throughout it, a large Adidas logo on the tongue of the sneaker, and a gold/black outer sole that helps tie the sneaker together. It’s also going to be a limited-edition sneaker, so you can expect this one to sell out quickly when it’s released.

If you’re interested in copping a pair, they’ll be available on February 16 at the launch event at the Sheikh store at the Houston Galleria where Wale will be in attendance. But, if you’re not in town for All-Star Weekend in H-Town, you can also pick up a pair through the adidas website for $160. With Wale’s backing, we’re sure these will go pretty quickly so don’t sleep on them. And, look for additional colorways to drop in the future. Do you like what Adidas has done with the TS Lite AMR “Trophy Hunter”? Or, are you going to pass on them and pick up a different pair of sneakers that will be dropping on All-Star Weekend?
