Golden State Warriors Unveil Short Sleeve Jerseys
What in the world? The Golden State Warriors have unveiled plans to begin wearing the NBA’s “first modern short sleeve jersey” in three of their upcoming home games. Why a short sleeve jersey? Who the hell knows. All I know is that it is kind of ugly. Scratch that, it is ugly. ESPN noted the days that the Warriors will be wearing these new jerseys.
The Warriors announced Monday that they will debut the alternate uniforms at home against the San Antonio Spurs on Feb. 22. The team will also wear the jerseys for home games against Houston on March 8 and Chicago on March 15.
Blame Adidas for these jerseys as it was their bright idea. They say the jerseys have ”the first-ever super lightweight stretch woven short with maximum ventilation for player comfort. The jersey includes armhole insets with 360-degree stretch fabric that facilitates free range of motion for the arms and shoulders.”
It’s still ugly though.
