Supra & Bun B Are Releasing A “Trill-Star” Sneaker Pack For NBA All-Star Weekend

The 2013 NBA All-Star Game will take place in Houston this weekend as part of NBA All-Star Weekend. And, as we’ve told you time and time again over the course of the last couple of weeks, that means that all the major sneaker companies will be dropping special “All-Star” sneakers in time for the big game. So far, we’ve seen sneakers from Nike and adidas, but there are definitely lots more on the way as every sneaker company will try to get in on the action.

One of the companies that we think you might be interested in keeping an eye out for is Supra. Although Supra sneakers aren’t necessarily favored by many—or, make that, any—professional basketball players (on the court, anyway), Supra is still going all out at All-Star Weekend and dropping a very special “Trill-Star” Pack that pays homage to the city of Houston. In the pack, they’ve got one special all-blue Supra S1W that was made to represent the NBA’s Eastern Conference as well as an all-red Supra Stacks that was made to represent the NBA’s Western Conference. Both sneakers were actually created with some help from collaborator Bun B and feature the names “Stevie Trilliams” and “Trill Kennedy” on them. And, they also both feature hangtags on them that are designed to show love for Town Sneaker Summit, which is the big sneaker event that Houston hosts every year.

“I’ve known both [Stevie Williams and Terry Kennedy] for a number of years now, and I also have a good relationship with Matt at Supra,” Bun B says of the collaboration. “He and I have been talking about coming together and doing something, but timing was always an issue. It takes time to come up with a design and produce the design and then sample it—we never really had the timing down for what we were trying to do. But, luckily, this one we got on it early enough to make it happen in time for exactly when we wanted the shoes to be released.”

That time is now. The Supra “Trill-Star” Pack can be purchased at select Supra retailers around the country or through the Supra website. Do you like what Bun B and Supra have done here?
