Listen To Mariah Carey’s New Song, “Almost Home,” From Disney’s Film, Oz The Great and Powerful
Mariah Carey may be the newest judge on American Idol, but the pop legend is proving that she still has the vocal prowess to dominate any stage.
The diva just debuted her new single “Almost Home,” from the soundtrack to Disney‘s forthcoming motion picture Oz The Great and Powerful, which stars James Franco, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams. Produced by Stargate, the upbeat track from Carey serves as the theme song from the film, which opens in theaters on March 8, 2013. An accompanying video, directed by frequent collaborator David LaChapelle, is slated to premiere in the coming weeks.
Carey’s “Almost Home” has garnered rave reviews from the masses and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. The 42-year-old is rumored to be working on a new album with fellow American Idol judge Randy Jackson for release sometime this year. “‘Almost Home’ is a legitimately great & powerful track,” wrote Idolator. Added AOL, “A movie as epic as Oz The Great and Powerful deserves an equally as memorable soundtrack. Luckily, Mariah Carey delivers.”
