Chris Brown: Rihanna Attack Is My “Deepest Regret”

During Elton John‘s AIDS Foundation bash on Oscars night in Los Angeles, Chris Brown opened up to Page Six about getting back with his on-again girlfriend, Rihanna, who previously confirmed their reunion in an interview with Rolling Stone. Saying they are “really happy,” the “Don’t Wake Me Up” singer added:
“We are back together. She is the most beautiful girl in the world. But I’m sad she couldn’t be here tonight; she is rehearsing for her tour.”
Taking things a step further, Chris recently called the night he brutally assaulted the Barbadian beauty in 2009 the “deepest regret” of his life. In a candid interview with the Mirror, he said:
“That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake. But she loves me — what can I say? I’m forgiven… but, yes, I worked hard for it.”
He added of the backlash and criticism he’s received because of his actions that night:
“People attack me and criticise me, it happens all the time. But they don’t know me, and they don’t know us. It doesn’t bother me anymore. Other people can judge us but they don’t know anything.”
Since these two are clearly determined to be together, I hope it works out better for them this time around. Although I have very strong opinions on domestic violence, I wish them luck.
