Reportedly, Kris Jenner is on a mission to become Kanye West‘s manager. Kris, who already manages her daughters, including Kanye’s baby mama-to-be Kim Kardashian, has told the hip-hop star of her desire to guide his career. But she may be more interested in what managing Kanye will do for her own career. A source told RadarOnline:

“Kris has wanted to manage someone of Kanye’s stature and talent for a very long time. She feels that it could open even bigger doors for her career, and she is always looking to expand her client base. Kris has told Kanye that she would love to be his manager — even though he has a team in place.”

In an effort to convince Kanye to let her manage him, Kris told the “Runaway” rapper that she would start off handling only a few aspects of his career, but Kanye wasn’t convinced. The source said:

“She said she would be willing to start out representing him in new endorsements and his personal life as it pertains to the reality shows…..Kris reps Khloe’s hubby, Lamar Odom in non-basketball matters. Kanye politely declined though as he is extremely happy with his current manager, agent, etc. Kris took it well, but she will definitely approach Kanye again if she sees an opening.”

Although Kris is used to getting her way when it comes to the careers and lives of the people around her, Kanye maybe the exception to the rule. The source added:

“Kanye won’t be pressured into anything about his career by Kris. He knows how to say no, and won’t be pushed into anything. Look at the announcement of Kim’s pregnancy, Kanye did that all on his own.”

Kanye is known for being headstrong and doing things on his own terms. Hopefully, he won’t budge when it comes to Kris wanting to manage him. I think it’s a horrible idea and could spell disaster for his career.
