Brandon Knight Is Having The Worst Week Ever
Okay, maybe it’s not that bad. Just being in the NBA as a starter makes it very difficult to say anyone is having the worst week ever. However, for the sake of embellishing this “worst week ever” story, let’s take a look at Brandon Knight‘s past couple of days.
On Sunday, this happened…
Surely you have watched this clip a million times in amazement. Somewhere in those viewings you likely questioned just what in the hell Brandon Knight was thinking when he saw the freight train known as DeAndre Jordan rumbling his way. He couldn’t have thought that Jordan was going to lay up the alley oop thrown by Chris Paul. Oh well, a bad night for Knight.
Too bad it doesn’t stop there.
With the inception of social media, three seconds can live for three lifetimes on the web. Knight had to endure ridicule from across the world as EVERYONE got in on the joke. Knight took it all in stride though and moved along with his next game against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.
But that’s when the injured pride moved towards a physical injury.
In the first quarter, Knight drove to the basket against Randy Foye and took an awkward step that rolled his ankle badly. Knight immediately hit the floor and thoughts of DeAndre Jordan dunking on him washed away in favor of wondering if his ankle was broken. He was helped off the court but X-rays showed that his ankle wasn’t broken. He’ll likely have to sit for a few games and watch TV.
Too bad it will likely be more replays of him being dunked on.
Ugh.
