If This Is The Samsung Galaxy S IV, It Doesn’t Look All That Different From The Samsung Galaxy S III

For months now, people have been talking about the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S IV and speculating over what it might look like. Because the Samsung Galaxy S III has been so successful over the course of the last year or two, the thought is that Samsung is going to go all out with the Galaxy S IV and do their best to convert even more former BlackBerry and iPhone users into Galaxy users than they already have. And, they’re expected to officially unveil the Galaxy S IV later this week at a press event. So, we won’t have to wait too much longer to see what Samsung has in store for us.

That said, some photos that allegedly showcase the Galaxy S IV leaked to the ‘net earlier this week. And, we have to say: We’re not impressed. Well, let me rephrase that. We’re not super impressed, because it seems as though the Galaxy S IV looks and feels a whole lot like the Galaxy S III, save for a few internal updates. There are some very minor cosmetic changes. For instance, the Galaxy S IV is going to be a little bit slimmer than the Galaxy S III. It’s also reportedly going to have a larger, more dynamic screen. And, the camera will likely be improved. But, as you can see in the photos here, the Galaxy S IV will have the same plastic casing as the Galaxy S III. It’ll also have the same look and feel of the Galaxy S III.

So, here’s our question for you: Is that a good thing or a bad thing for Samsung? On the one hand, we don’t necessarily think they needed to make big changes on the Galaxy S IV. It’s clear that they’ve found a winning formula with the Galaxy S smart phone, so maybe it’s best for them to keep using it. But, on the other hand, it’s always a little bit disappointing when we spend months and months speculating about something and then it turns out to be pretty much the same thing as what we’ve already got. So, if the Galaxy S IV is just like the Galaxy S III as these photos seem to indicate, are you going to be disappointed? Or, are you going to scoop one up anyway to enjoy the eight-core processor and Android 4.2? Check out the rest of the leaked photos below and then let us know. And, make sure you check out the official announcement about the Galaxy S IV later this week. It’ll be interesting to see what Samsung ultimately delivers.
