Rapper Noreaga Featured in Cipha Sounds’ First Hip-Hop Improv
On Friday, March 29, 2013, rapper Noreaga was featured in the first ‘Hip-Hop Improv Show’ – Take it Personal presented by Hot 97′s Cipha Sounds and Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), the top improv theatre and school in NYC. Improvisers Cipha Sounds, Abra Tabak, Anthony Atamanuik, Chris Gethard, Phil Jackson, and Brandon Gardner reenacted stories originally told by N.O.R.E. Attendees included Eric and Jeff Rosenthal (ItsTheReal.com), Karl Ferguson (Vibe and RageOneMedia), Keith Nelson (AllHipHop.com), Jakk Doe (JakkDoe.com), and Willy Dope of Par-City.
Take it Personal will consist of famous hip hop artists either performing monologues, sharing personal stories, performing their songs, or being interviewed on their lives for source material. A group of talented improvisers will then use that material to create a totally made up show. You will be amazed on how the hip hop artist’s story is brought to life right in front of your eyes. “Watching an improv show is like seeing someone walk over the tight rope without the net… But way funnier,” said Cipha Sounds.
