Kandi Burruss Talks “Tardy For The Party” Lawsuit, Says She Didn’t Want To Go To Court With Kim
Kandi Burruss is revealing the reason behind her lawsuit against her former Real Housewives of Atlanta costar Kim Zolciak.
Although Kandi’s lawsuit is demanding profits earned from the sale of Kim’s 2009 single “Tardy for the Party,” the 36-year-old singer-songwriter insists she didn’t want to go to court with her former friend.
On Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, she explains, “I really didn’t want to go to court with Kim — my intentions were just to have the song pulled down permanently … Every time we had it pulled down, she [Kim] would write in a letter to have them put it back up. They said to have it pulled down permanently, then we would have to file suit against her.”
Kandi added, “So it wasn’t like I just went and said, ‘Oh I’m coming for money from you Kim after all these years.’” Kandi is represented in the lawsuit by her fellow Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Phaedra Parks.
