Derrick Rose Is Still Releasing New adidas Rose 3.5 Colorways—Even Though He Hasn’t Returned To The Court!
When is Derrick Rose going to start playing for the Chicago Bulls again? No, really. When is it going to happen? As a Bulls fan, I’ve been pretty damn patient for the last month or so—and even wrote on why D-Rose should take his time and return to the Bulls’ lineup at his own pace. But, this is getting ridiculous now! At this point, even if he does return to the lineup soon, he’s so far behind that he might not even make a big impact. He very well could hurt the chemistry of the team. It’s frustrating, to say the least, especially when you consider that Rose continues to release new colorways of the adidas Rose 3.5 sneaker that he hasn’t actually worn during a live game yet.
Now, to be fair to Rose, I’m sure that it wasn’t his idea to release a steady stream of new Rose 3.5 colorways while injured. He probably feels just as weird about it as we do. But, regardless, adidas just dropped the Rose 3.5 “Metal/Black” colorway and, despite the fact that Rose isn’t actually playing in them, we like what adidas has done here. The “Metal/Black” Rose 3.5s feature a mostly-black upper, an exceptionally tough toe box, bright-red laces, and hits of a lighter red on the outer sole. They look like they’d compliment Rose’s red Bulls jersey perfectly.
At this point, we don’t know when—or even if—Rose will ever get the chance to wear his Rose 3.5 sneakers during a game this season. But, if he does, he would be well served pulling a pair of these out. They look good. They perform well. And, as we said, they would match the Bulls unis very nicely. So, what do you say, Derrick? Care to lace a pair of these up and give them a whirl? Please? We don’t know how much longer we can wait.
