Beverly Hills 90210 Alum Ian Ziering Is Going To Strip For Chippendales At The Age Of 49

Ian Ziering is moving to a whole new zip code.

The 49-year-old must have been inspired by Magic Mike, last year’s blockbuster hit starring Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey, because the former Beverly Hills 90210 actor is heading to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas to guest star with the Chippendales as a featured dancer.

“Actors and performers never know what their next job will be and when I got the call from Chippendales my jaw dropped as it came on the heels of TMZ calling me fat on national TV,” Ziering said in a statement, shortly after announcing on Twitter that he dropped 12 pounds. “I am passionate about health and fitness so I’ve kept in shape, and dancing is something I’ve always enjoyed, so I figured why not?”

Ziering, whose wife Erin nicknamed him “Magic Ian,” is no stranger to the dance floor. The blonde previously competed on the fourth season of Dancing With The Stars and landed in the semi-finals. “I am so excited to be a part of this iconic worldwide organization,” said Ziering who follows in the footsteps of other famous faces like Blossom‘s Joey Lawrence and 98 Degrees’ Jeff Timmons who have all recently stripped for Chippendales. “It’s really a dream come true!”

Check out a shirtless picture of Ian below. Do you think the 49-year-old actor has what it takes to make magic on the Chippendales stage?
