Is Rick Ross Trying To Get Back At Reebok By Wearing Air Jordans?

Rick Ross isn’t running with Reebok anymore. We found that out late last week when Reebok decided to part ways with Ross a couple of weeks after the Maybach Music Group rapper made waves within the music industry by dropping some controversial lines on Rocko‘s new single “U.O.E.N.O.” Ross seemed to condone rape on one line on the song, which caused a huge uproar and, eventually, forced Reebok to drop him from their lineup of celebrity endorsers. For Reebok, it couldn’t have come at a worse time as Ross was one of the celebrities helping them endorse their new “Live White Hot” campaign. But it was the right move for the company to make.

That being said, has Ross already thrown out all of his Reebok sneakers?! In theory, we’re guessing that Reebok may have asked Ross to stop wearing their kicks. But, less than a week after Reebok dumped him, Rozay threw up the photo that you see above up on Instagram. And, as you can see, the photo featured him wearing a pair a Air Jordan V retro sneakers. Some saw it as Ross jumping back into the Jumpman sneakers that he used to wear all the time prior to signing with Reebok. But others assume that this was Ross taking a subliminal jab at Reebok. It’s been reported that Reebok cost him upwards of $5 or $6 million by dumping him last week. So maybe he threw his Air Jordans on as a way to get back at the sneaker brand. But, either way, he made plenty of headlines by wearing his Jordans.

What do you think about the situation? Was Ross simply wearing Jordans because they’re his preferred brand of sneakers? Or do you think he was trying to send a message to Reebok by wearing one of Reebok’s main competitors? We’ll probably never know. But one thing is clear: Reebok and Rick Ross are not on good terms anymore. So you shouldn’t expect to see Ross step out in Reeboks ever again. Unless, of course, they decide to pay him for it.
