Reebok CEO Uli Becker Has Some Harsh Words For Those People Advising Rick Ross
Rick Ross is no longer running with Reebok. The sneaker company, which hired Rozay last year in an effort to boost their sales, cut ties with him last month after all the hoopla surrounding one of his lyrics on the Rocko single, “U.O.E.N.O.” The lyric, which seemed to promote rape, forced Reebok to terminate their relationship with Ross immediately and likely cost the rapper millions of dollars. And now, Reebok CEO Uli Becker is speaking out about Ross and the people who are surrounding him.
According to Becker, he found Ross to be a pretty likable guy all around. It’s one of the main reasons he decided to bring him on board with Reebok. However, he wasn’t all that impressed by those who help Ross make day-to-day decisions. So during an interview this week, he called them out on it.
“It’s unfortunate,” he said at the FN CEO Summit in Miami, “because he’s a great guy. He just has stupid advisors around him.”
Becker doesn’t have any hard feelings against the rapper, though. And, to prove it, he posed with Swizz Beatz and Ross just a few hours after making his remarks about the MMG crew. There’s been no word as to what Ross thought about the CEO’s comments. But we would imagine that he wouldn’t be too happy about Becker taking a shot at his associates.
What do you think about Becker’s comments? Do you feel as though Ross has smart people working for him? Furthermore, do you think that Ross and Reebok could do business again in the future? We get the feeling that a lot of you are still upset at Ross regarding his line on “U.O.E.N.O.”—and we don’t blame you for it!—but let us know what you think about the possibility of him teaming up with the sneaker company again sometime down the line.
