Ooooooooooohhh, VH1 is transporting you right “on the TLC tip”!
The network just debuted the first photo from the highly anticipated biopic Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story and the visuals are spot on. Starring Drew Sidora as Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Keke Palmer as Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, and Lil’ Mama as Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, the colorful trio recreate the looks from TLC’s 1992 debut album, Ooooooohhh… On The TLC Tip.
“With this cast, we are thrilled with the talent assembled both in front of and behind the cameras,” stated Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Production, VH1. “TLC are truly music pioneers and this movie is a fantastic way to expand our scripted push by combining our audience’s passion for music with their love of story. We know our viewers will be eager to go beyond the headlines and into the surprisingly personal, never before told stories of these groundbreaking women.”
Directed by Charles Stone III (Drumline) and based on a screenplay by Kate Lanier (What’s Love Got To Do With It), Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story is set to hit the airwaves at the end of the year.
