Katy Perry Pulls Out The Claws To Launch Her Third Fragrance, “Killer Queen”
Katy Perry, has ruled the charts since the debut of her hit track “I Kissed A Girl,” so it’s no surprise that her third fragrance, “Killer Queen,” celebrates the singer’s special brand of regal dominance.
The 28-year-old recently rocked a floral Thom Browne frock, Lorraine Schwartz bracelets, rings by Davis Yurman, and a sharp “killer mani to match,” to launch her new perfume at Duke in New York City. “Ok! I have been working on my third fragrance for over a year & want to unveil the look NOW! What do u think?!” Katy tweeted after “Killer Queen’s” unveiling. “Can’t wait to share the royal juice! #sosophisticated.”
Following in the footsteps of her first two perfumes “Meow” and “Purr,” “Killer Queen” is the first scent Katy has created in collaboration with beauty manufacturer Coty Inc. “We are thrilled to have an artist as creative and talented as Katy Perry join us at Coty,” Coty Beauty president Renato Semerari said at the time. “Katy is original and daring—her unique approach to music and life will serve as the inspiration behind her innovative new scents and allow us to explore new avenues of scent creation.”
For Perry, “Killer Queen” is just the start of her rosy-scented future.”I’m excited to share what’s next in my perfumed world, as well as making Purr and Meow more accessible worldwide.”
And you can believe that whatever the singer creates will have her personal touch.
”I have seen a lot of the perfumes out there—some of my peers—and I’m like, ‘Did you really approve this?’” she says. “You can’t just cash in all the time. I’ve always told anyone I’m working with that if I don’t like the product, I’m not going to show up.”
