We are less than 10 days away from the re-release of the iconic Reebok Answer I sneaker. The sneaker, which Allen Iverson originally wore way back in 1997, is one of the best basketball sneakers ever created by Reebok. It’s not quite as revered as the Reebok Question. But it does hold a special place in our heart because it was one of the most technologically advanced basketball sneakers when it dropped. And we remember wearing this one back in the day to play ball.

We probably won’t be playing ball in the Answer I when it drops again. But that doesn’t mean that we won’t wear it every place else, especially now that Reebok has released some official images that show us exactly what we’ll be getting when we pick up this re-release. The Answer I, which features a black/white/metallic gold colorway just like it did back in ’97, features AI’s signature “I3″ logo, DMX 10 cushioning, and a dope translucent outer sole that ties the whole sneaker together. We get the feeling that we’re going to be seeing a whole bunch of these running the streets this summer.

For those of you who are interested in picking the Answer I up this month, it will be available in stores on May 24. But before you make your final decision, make sure you check out some great photos of the Answer I below. As you can see, these are every bit as great as they were when they dropped back in ’97 and it’s going to be great to see these on store shelves again.

So what do you think about the re-release of the Answer I? Did you have a pair of these when they dropped back in ’97? And will you purchase another pair next week when they hit stores again? Let us know in the comments section after you get done checking out the additional images of AI’s signature sneaker.
