Big sis Beyonce would be so proud. Solange is definitely an independent woman. The 26-year-old singer, DJ, actress, and model is adding a new title to her extensive repertoire. Solange took to Twitter to announce the launch of her new record label, Saint Records, to her over 1.5 million followers.

“Big news day for me!” she wrote. “Wasn’t ready to announce, but since false info is spreading I will gladly do so:) Supppppperr EXCITED! Super stoked to announce I’ve started my own label, SAINT RECORDS, where I’ll be releasing my music & other projects distributed through SONY!”

The news came on the cusp of Knowles releasing the Kendrick Lamar-assisted remix for her single, “Looks Good With Trouble,” off her True EP (posted below). “It is through SAINT RECORDS that I will be releasing my full length album, and also future music projects that I’m excited about sharing!” she continued. “Through Saint Records I will have 100% creative/artistic control & continue to passionately pursue my footing in this new musical movement.”
