Sophia Grace Brownlee Debuts First-Ever Music Video, “Girls Just Gotta Have Fun”
Warning: the following video is so sweet, it may cause cavities.
YouTube sensation and The Ellen DeGeneres Show show correspondent Sophia Grace Brownlee may have burst onto the scene after a video of her singing Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” went viral in 2011. But now, the 10-year-old is hoping to garner the same success with her first official music video for “Girls Just Gotta Have Fun.”
“It’s the princess swagger, moves like Jagger,” Sophia raps. “Haters gonna hate and they go chit-chit-chatter!”
Joined by her cousin and “hype gal” Rosie McLelland, Sophia Grace shows off her sweet pink car as she “drives” around town and gets ready to party in the video directed by Matt Alonzo, the same man that has lent his talents to Soulja Boy, Ice Cube, Pitbull, and the Far East Movement.
When she’s not playing dress-up, sitting on her petite pink throne, or throwing pie in the faces of misbehaving boys, Sophia is sure to send props to her leading ladies. “Nicki is my princess and Ellen is my queen,” Sophia rhymes in the song. “Put ‘em all together, that’s a Hollywood dream!”
