The Reebok Pump Omni Lite “Dee Brown” Is A Slam Dunk

Do you remember these Reebok sneakers? If not, they are the Reebok Pump Omni Lite “Dee Brown” sneakers. They’re best known for being on Dee Brown’s feet the night the Boston Celtics guard won the 1991 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. And we’ve got some good news for you if you were a fan of them back in 1991—they’re making their return! Although the Reebok Pump Omni Lite has been in and out of circulation for years now and is not terribly hard to find, we’re big fans of the sneakers and are eagerly anticipating their return later this month.

If you’re not familiar with the sneakers that Dee Brown helped make famous, you should be. The Reebok sneakers are black with hits of white and orange and also feature the iconic Pump on the tongue that enables you to make the sneakers slightly tighter when you wear them. They’re fairly simple. But I owned a pair of these a few years back and got tons of wear out of them before I finally had to toss them. The Pump Omni Lite design makes for a comfortable sneaker that’s good for casual wear and wearing on the basketball court. And I can guarantee you that you will get a lot of love when you wear these. The Pump alone makes them an attraction and will turn plenty of heads.

So do you want a pair? If so, select Reebok retailers will have these in stock next Friday, June 14. They’ll start at $115, and it shouldn’t be too difficult to get your hands on pair. So what do you say? Do you like what Reebok is doing here by re-releasing these? And are you planning on picking them up when they drop? We think they would make for a great summer sneaker. Or if you prefer to rock white sneakers in the summer, they’ll look great next winter when you finally pull them out of the box. Either way, you should pay homage to Dee Brown’s greatness and pick them up. See you in stores next Friday.
