E3 2013: Konami Releases Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Extended Trailer

This year’s edition of E3 got off to a strong start considering the debut of both the XBox One and the Playstation 4. But now that we’ve got that out of the way, the show floor opened on Tuesday with new games that drew applause inside of the Los Angeles Convention Center. One of the key games that caught my eye was the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The extended trailer that demonstrated exactly what the latest edition of the game had in store for us.

Aside from what appears to be a prequel to the Metal Gear series, the game now boasts open world game play (a la Grand Theft Auto), real time weather, deeper stealth, multiple modes of transport, realistic passage of time and so much more. Even better is that everything mentioned is demonstrated in the nine minute trailer.

Can’t wait for this one to drop on current gen and next gen systems later this year.
