Go Behind-The-Scenes Of Nicki Minaj’s New Kmart Collection: “It’s Not Just Crazy Stuff!”

Nicki Minaj may be known for wearing some outlandish outfits, topped with her kooky hairstyles (pink cotton-candy wig anyone?). But the HBIC (Head Barbz In Charge) is hoping to go mainstream with her new clothing line The Nicki Minaj Collection. Announced in March, the rapper’s first foray into fashion will be available exclusively at Kmart.

“I’m doing this for women in general to feel beautiful and sexy. Any woman can wear it and feel confident,” Nicki says in a new behind-the-scenes video following her journey as a designer. ”There are some dresses that I am obsessing over already. They tuck you in in the right places and enhance you in the right places. We are definitely working on the leggings that I love for my body. So that women, no matter if they are slim, or thick or whatever…they feel comfortable.”

Despite the bold prints, bright colors, and body-hugging cuts, Nicki promises that her collection is not as “crazy” as fans might expect from the 30-year-old  Pink Friday rapper. “Comfortable equals confident,” Nicki declares. “That’s what I would say. I definitely didn’t want people to think, she’s only going to have crazy stuff in her line, because that would push people away.”
