Is This What Derrick Rose’s adidas Rose 4 Is Going To Look Like?

It feels like forever since we last saw Derrick Rose play basketball. Sure, we saw him shoot around a few times during the 2012-13 NBA season. We even saw him throw down a few dunks before Chicago Bulls games. But it’s been a minute since we have actually seen him play. So even though the NBA Playoffs are still taking place, we’re already looking forward to next October when D-Rose will finally be back on the court. That’s not the only reason we’re looking forward to October, though. In addition to getting to see D-Rose play, October will also bring the launch of the adidas Rose 4.

Last season, adidas released the Rose 3 and the Rose 3.5 sneakers. And while we liked both of them, the fact that we didn’t get to see D-Rose in them made us feel some type of way about them. They were cool and all. But how can you call them a “Rose” sneaker without showing D-Rose to us in them? Next season, adidas won’t have that problem. They’ll have Rose back to wear these Rose 4 sneakers. And while we don’t know much about them, the photo above provides us with a pretty good first look at the Rose 4. It appears as though the Rose 4 is very similar to the Rose 3 with a few notable differences, namely the split toe box and the unique upper. We don’t know if this is exactly what the Rose 4 will look like when it is released. But it will likely be close to this.

What do you think about what adidas has in store for us with the Rose 4? Do you like the direction they’ve gone in with this sneaker? Or do you wish they would have gone the more conventional route here? We are going to reserve judgment until we hear about the technical specs of the sneakers and get a better look at them. Either way, it’ll be good to see Derrick Rose playing in these next season, if for no other reason than it means that Derrick Rose is finally back on the basketball court. See you in October!
