Eminem opens up about his struggle with drug addiction in the new documentary, How to Make Money Selling Drugs.

“I don’t know at what point exactly it started to be a problem. I just remember liking it more and more,” the rapper says in the clip below while discussing his struggle with Vicodin, Valium, and Xanax.“People tried to tell me I had a problem. I would say, ‘Get that f—ing person out of here. I can’t believe they said that sh-t to me. They know nothing about my f—ing life. Are they out of their f—ing mind? I’m not out there shooting heroin. I’m not out there putting coke up my nose. I’m not smoking crack.’”

Directed by Matthew Cooke, How to Make Money Selling Drugs also features 50 Cent, The Wire producer David Simon, Arianna Huffington, Woody Harrelson, Susan Sarandon, and infamous drug kingpin “Freeway” Rick Ross. According to the synopsis, the film offers a “provocative glimpse into the lives of those on both sides of the “war on drugs. Presenting a step by step guide on how to go from street dealer to drug lord, the documentary reveals how public policy actually entices Americans into dealing drugs.”

Eminem’s drug addiction eventually landed the rapper in the hospital. “Had I got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died,” he says. “My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything…They didn’t think I was going to make it. My bottom was going to be death.”

Watch Eminem in a clip from the documentary below and catch How To Make Money Selling Drugs, which was co-produced by Entourage‘s Adrian Grenier, in theaters now.
