On Friday, July 5, 2013, Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie was featured in the Hip-Hop Improv Show – TAKE IT PERSONAL presented by Hot 97′s Cipha Sounds and Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), the top improv theatre and school in NYC. Improvisers Cipha Sounds, Abra Tabak, Phil Jackson, Lydia Hensler, Brandon Gardner, and Brandon Scott Jones reenacted stories originally told by D Dot.

During the show, D Dot shared his first meeting with Ma$e (back when he was Murda Mase) in 1997 and revealed the Harlem rapper’s peculiar writing process. Cipha Sounds said, “D Dot has always been one of my inspirations. It was an honor to have him at my show… No on has more stories than A&Rs and Producers. They will tell you the stuff that rappers won’t.”

Take it Personal will continue every Friday at the legendary UCB Theater.

Special Guests included Drewski (Hot 97), Keith Nelson (AllHipHop.com), Copper Tony (kevinnottingham.com) and Willy Dope of Par-City.
