Dwight Howard Shows Off The adidas D Howard 4 “Rockets” For The First Time
Dwight Howard is officially a member of the Houston Rockets. Late last week, the former Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers star signed his new four-year, $88 million contract with the Rockets and talked about why he decided to make a change and sign with Houston. He also took a bunch of official photos in his new Rockets uniform and showed off his new signature adidas D Howard 4 “Rockets” sneakers in the process. Although he did wear the sneakers during his time in Los Angeles, adidas put together a brand-new colorway for him in order to commemorate him signing with his new team.
As you can see, the D Howard 4 “Rockets” are almost completely red with small hits of white to make them match with the Rockets uniforms. They feature a synthetic leather upper, the patented adidas SprintWeb, and a flexible sole. They also feature miCoach compatibility, which means you can use the adidas miCoach system in order to train if you buy the D Howard 4 “Rockets” sneakers. Compared to a lot of other adidas sneakers out there—and signature sneakers as a whole—the D Howard 4s are pretty simple. But the bright red colorway of this particular makeup of the Howard 4 should get some people out there excited.
What do you think about what adidas has done with the D Howard 4 sneakers in light of Howard landing in Houston? Do you prefer these D Howard 4 sneakers over the ones that Howard wore when he was in Los Angeles? And do you see these catching on with all of the basketball players and sneakerheads out there? We have a hard time believing that these will fly off store shelves. But we credit adidas with stepping up and creating them in time for Howard’s move to Houston. If nothing else, they look great paired with the Rockets uniforms and should catch on in the Houston area. Stay tuned for additional info on more adidas D Howard releases in the near future.
