The acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of an unarmed Trayvon Martin has elicited passionate responses from the Hollywood community, but one celebrity has been a little more vocal than others.

During a show on Sunday in Quebec City, Canada, music icon Stevie Wonder announced that he will not perform in Florida, or any other place, with the controversial “stand your ground” law. He told the crowd:

“I decided today that until the ‘stand your ground’ law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again. As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world.”

What do you think about Stevie’s announcement? Considering at least 20 other states have laws similar to “stand your ground”, do you think he will follow through? Check out his comments in their entirety in the video below.
