After giving birth to the future King of England, Kate Middleton stepped out of the St. Mary’s hospital in London less than 48 hours later to address the crowd and show off her new baby boy, His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge. For reality royal Kim Kardashian, it took a whopping seven weeks.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star made her first public appearance recently after giving birth to daughter North West with rapper beau Kanye West. Never one to shy away from the camera, Kim emerged in true Kardashian fashion, on mom Kris Jenner‘s talk show (in an attempt to boost ratings of course). “Hey mom, I just wanted to say congratulations on your new show,” the 32-year-old new mom said in a video wearing a crisp white shirt. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be there in person, but I’m just loving life a little bit too much at home right now. But I watch you every single day and you are so amazing. You really are born to do this. I just want to say I love you and have an amazing show.”

Sitting next to guest host Sean “Diddy” Combs, the famous momager was clearly moved. “That made me cry,” Kris said tearing. “Thank you, Kimmy, thank you Sean.”
