Alec Baldwin & Kim Basinger’s Daughter Ireland Dishes On Fame: “How Miserable Is That?”

If your parents are Hollywood hotties Alec Baldwin and Kim Bassinger, sexiness is basically embedded in your DNA. But their daughter Ireland Baldwin never considered herself blessed in the beauty department.

Instead, the 6’2″ blonde stunner admits that she suffered from extremely low self-esteem growing up. Now signed to IMG Models (her mom Kim inked a deal with Ford Models at age 16), the 17-year-old admits that her mother insisted she start modeling to build up her self-esteem. “She thought it would be good for my confidence because I never really thought of myself as a pretty girl,” Baldwin said in the September 2013 issue of ELLE. “I never really thought of myself as a pretty girl.”

While Ireland has questioned her own looks in the past, her mother has always been beautiful in her eyes. “She looks like she’s my age,” Ireland said of her Kim’s timeless beauty. “Her body, I swear, it’s scary.”

Ireland hopes to follow in her parents footsteps and become an actor, yet she has no interest in becoming famous. “I would look at [my parents] and go, ‘Jesus, how miserable is that?’” she told ELLE. “I didn’t want to be followed.”

Despite her future career, Ireland plans to remain humble. “Even when I get to the point where I’m acting and performing, where I want to be with my career, I’m never going to think of anyone as lower than me,” she said. “Everyone’s the celebrity of their own life, you know?”

So true. I love her humility and her decency. Out of her mom, her dad and her, she might be the most sane. ;)
