Kanye West Reveals The Winners Of The Air Yeezy 2 “October Red” Contest

Kanye West is a man of his word. Back in June, he announced that anyone who purchased his Yeezus album would be eligible to win a free pair of Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” sneakers. And late last week, he went ahead and revealed some of the winners of the contest. It’s a good move for him from a PR perspective, because so often we hear about great contests but never actually hear who won them. But it’s also a great move for the folks who actually won the sneakers, because now they will get to brag to all of their friends about how Kanye West’s camp acknowledged them and gave them a pair of the super exclusive “Red October” sneakers.

In order to win the “Red October” contest, those who purchased Yeezus had to pop it into their computer and follow a bunch of prompts to have their name entered to win a pair of the Yeezy 2s. Only 50 pairs of the “Red October” sneaker were made available through the contest, and it doesn’t appear as though the “Red October” will be available in stores anytime soon. So those people who both bought Yeezus and entered the contest were the big winners. They are now free to stunt all over the rest of us by wearing their “Red October” sneakers proudly or selling them on eBay for a super high price.

So who actually won the “Red October” contest? We’ve included the list of names below. From the looks of things, only 24 pairs of “Red October” sneakers have been given away so far, because only 24 names appear here. We assume that means that another 26 winners will be named soon. But we can’t say that for sure since, in typical Kanye West fashion, very little explanation for the winners’ list was provided. But check out the list below. Do you know any of these people? If so, you might want to holler at them ASAP and make them an offer. It’s probably the only way you’re going to get your hands on the Yeezy 2 “Red October.”
