Elon Musk To Unveil Rocket System Inspired By Iron Man

Sometimes life inspires art, and sometimes it’s the other way around. Billionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk is a known inspiration for Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr.‘s Iron Man, and even had a cameo in the franchise’s second film. Now, Musk himself is taking ideas from the movie.

On Friday night, Musk tweeted that he had “figured out how to design rocket parts just w hand movements through the air (seriously),” and that he would “post video next week” and “immediately [start] printing in titanium.”

Favreau himself asked, “Like in Iron Man?” And Musk confirmed.

Just last week, Musk proposed an idea that some consider almost equally far fetched: The Hyperloop, a statewide California train system that would be capable of speeds up to 800 mph, and would supposedly cost a fraction of the currently proposed system.

Musk is the co-founder of PayPal, Tesla Motors, and SpaceX, revolutionizing each field (online money transfers, electric automobiles, and commercial space travel) with each company.

I still don’t know about this one, though. Musk may be a real life Tony Stark, but even he must have his limitations- and be prone to the occasional practical joke.
