Do You Like The New Nike LeBron XI Sneaker?
The worst-kept secret in the sneaker game is finally out. For months now, we’ve been seeing teaser shots of the Nike LeBron XI sneaker, the 11th signature sneaker that Nike has created for LeBron James. And early yesterday, Nike finally confirmed the sneaker’s existence by releasing a bunch of official images of the LeBron XI. It looks exactly what we thought it was going to look like, too. Much like LeBron, it looks like an absolute beast thanks to the modern design that Nike has given the LeBron XI this time around. Is that a good thing, though? Is the LeBron XI going to be as successful as the last few LeBrons? And did Nike get it right with the LeBron XI?
We have to say…yes, yes, and yes. At first glance, the LeBron XI looks a lot more dynamic than the last few LeBron signature sneakers. That’s because it incorporates all sorts of Nike technologies—from Hyperposite and Hyperfuse to Flywire and Zoom Air—throughout the sneaker. And that all adds up to a pretty dynamic sneaker. The LeBron XI weighs in at just 14.5 ounces, making it to lightest LeBron sneaker yet, and includes improved comfort and cushioning compared to other LeBron signature sneakers. Bottom line, it may look a little bit weird at first glance. But this sneaker has been created, top to bottom, to be the best basketball sneaker ever.
We’re a little bit unsure of how popular this sneaker will be with regards to sneakerheads who don’t care about on-court performance. The sneaker doesn’t look like it’s meant to be worn casually. But we applaud Nike for thinking outside the box and doing their best to create a LeBron sneaker that is different from everything that came before it. Take a closer look at some other photos of the LeBron XI below. Will you be picking up a pair of these when they hit stores on October 12?
