What’s Next For Tim Tebow Now That The Patriots Have Cut Him?

Tim Tebow‘s NFL career may have just come to a screeching halt.

Although it seems he’s going to remain diligent and do whatever it takes to make it in the league, the New England Patriots decided to cut ties with Tebow yesterday, meaning that Tebow has now been either traded or released from three NFL teams in the last year or so. It’s a bad sign for him and means that he could be on his way out of the league. Because he has been resistant to the idea of playing anything other than quarterback in the NFL—and because he has struggled as an NFL QB since coming into the league a few years ago—there’s a strong chance that no other NFL teams will want to pick Tebow up now or anytime in the future.

It’s really a shame. Less than two years ago, Tebow was leading the Denver Broncos to the playoffs and helping the Broncos reassert themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the AFC. Now? Well, he’ll be lucky if anyone wants him as a third-string quarterback. And that’s got to be a tough pill for him to swallow. He’s done everything right as an NFL player and behaved in a professional matter at all times. But he might not get another chance in the NFL.

Unless Tebow is willing to change positions, we don’t see a future for Tebow in the NFL. Despite the fact that he appears to be a great guy off the field, he’s going to be out of the NFL unless some NFL team gets desperate this season and decides to pick him up. Maybe he’ll catch on in another football league like the CFL; maybe he won’t. But either way, his NFL hopes and dreams seem to have been dashed by the Patriots this weekend. And we don’t know what the future holds him for now. We’ll all just have to sit back and wait and see what happens next.
