Don’t look now, but it’s almost time to start talking about the start of the 2013-14 NBA season. We know, we know. The 2013-14 NFL season just started. So we should be focused on that and not basketball. But the truth is that NBA training camps will open up in just a few weeks. And before we know it, we will all be talking about the upcoming NBA season. Before all of that starts, though, adidas just came out and announced which NBA rookies they have signed to sneaker contracts. And the list is very long. It seems as though adidas will have half of the league’s rookies rocking the Three Stripes next year.

So who is riding with adidas? Unfortunately, no one from the top five picks in the 2013 NBA Draft (at least, not yet). But adidas did get Ben McLemore (Sacramento Kings), Steven Adams (Oklahoma City Thunder), Shabazz Muhammad (Minnesota Timberwolves), Tony Snell (Chicago Bulls), Tim Hardaway Jr. (New York Knicks), Erik Murphy (Chicago Bulls), and Peyton Siva (Detroit Pistons) to commit to adidas for their rookie season. And they also explained why they’re happy to have them running with adidas.

“Each of these young players have demonstrated the work ethic, passion, and attitude that make them a perfect fit for the adidas brand,” adidas Head of Global Basketball Sports Marketing Chris Grancio said yesterday. “Their outstanding talent level gives them the potential to make an immediate impact in the league, and we’re excited to partner with them to continue to develop new innovative products and to grow our brand and business.”

Initially, you can expect the rookies to wear adidas sneakers that already exist. But if any of them enjoy breakout rookie seasons, signature adidas sneakers could be in their futures. Of the players listed above, who do you think is the most likely to get his own signature adidas sneaker first?
