On Wednesday night, media personality/blogger Rae Holliday and celebrity wardrobe stylist Alisha Crutchfield hosted Fachion Bloc’s Purple Carpet Fashion Week Launch Event at The Church of the Holy Apostles in Manhattan. The event provided an opportunity for emerging designers to showcase their Fall/Winter 2013 collections.

The exclusive affair kicked off with an intimate cocktail hour sponsored by Papi Wines during which press and media mingled with special invited VIP guests, including Keith Perrin (co-founder, FUBU), Sharon Carpenter (VH1′s The Gossip Game) and rapper Lil Cease. Guests snacked on delectable desserts courtesy of The Dessert Stylists while enjoying music provided by the night’s DJ.

The evening culminated in a fashion show featuring models clad in looks from designers Christopher Lamont, Chi Chi Vogue by Marsha Williams, Jaguar and Company Clothier by E. Jaguar Beckford, Almond Eyz D’zingz, and 5-year-old designer Deysha Nelson. Each look was an impressive representation of what is to come from the next generation of design superstars.

At the conclusion of the evening, guests were sent home with gift bags featuring products from Miss Jessie’s, Zino Platinum Cigars, Juicy Magazine, and Selah Cosmetics.
