FILA is back at it again. Over the summer, they released a number of retro sneakers, including a couple that were worn back in the late 1990s by former NBA player Grant Hill. But later this week, they will really throw it back when they bust out the retro version of the FILA 95 sneaker that was Hill’s first signature sneaker ever. The FILA 95 is already starting to show up out in places like New York City. But it will officially be made available to sneakerheads on Thursday morning through select FILA retailers and FILA.com.

So what makes the FILA 95 so special? Well, as we just mentioned, it was the first signature sneaker that Grant Hill wore during his NBA career. It was also one of the most popular signature sneakers that FILA ever created. The FILA 95 that they’re re-releasing with be available in two different colorways—a white/navy one that Hill wore on the court during his time with the Detroit Pistons and a black/black colorway. And just like the original FILA 95, it features the large FILA branding near the heel, the large lacing system, and the unique design that was present way back in 1995. Overall, these still hold up and look like they’ll fit in amongst all of the other retro basketball sneakers that have been released in recent years.

After seeing the photos of the retro FILA 95 sneakers here, are you looking forward to picking a pair of these up on Thursday? Are they must-haves for all of you FILA heads out there? And can you think of any other signature sneakers that sneaker companies need to release in the near future? Check out some more images of the FILA 95 below and then let us know. We were fans of these sneakers back in the 1990s, and we’re still fans of them today. So we’re glad that FILA has finally got around to re-releasing them to the public.
