Is Nike For Real With These Air Force 1 Low “The Glove” Sneakers?

Over the years, Nike has put together quite a few “fusion” sneakers. The idea behind these sneakers is to combine two popular sneakers to create a sneaker that, at least in theory, is just as cool. However, it doesn’t always work out that way for them. Sure, some of the Air Jordans that they have “fused” together have been sort of cool. But the majority of them end up looking like cheap knock-offs at the end. And while some people still buy them simply because they’re Nikes, they’re definitely not the best sneakers that Nike has ever offered up. But for whatever reason, Nike continues to pump them out.

For proof of that, look no further than these new Nike Air Force 1 Low “The Glove” sneakers. They combine elements of the Nike Air Force 1 Low with elements of the classic Nike Air Zoom Flight “The Glove” to create a hybrid sneaker that is, well, hideous. Like, what in the world is going on here? We love the soft neoprene on “The Glove” sneakers. But we love them on “The Glove” sneakers. Furthermore, we like the cool zip-up lacing system on “The Glove” sneakers. But again, we like them on “The Glove” sneakers. So we’re not really sure why Nike overstepped their boundaries and created these. They don’t really look cool in the photos we’ve seen, and we would never pay for a pair of them.

Fortunately, these won’t be hitting the U.S. anytime soon. They’re only going to be released over in Asia for right now. But we’re sure that, at some point, Nike is going to bring them Stateside, and we’re going to ignore them when we do. Nike does well when they release their own original sneakers. But when they start doing all this fusing, they really run into a problem.

Do you agree with us? Do you hate these sneakers as much as we do? Do you wish Nike would stop trying to make fusions happen? Let us know. We can’t imagine why anyone would disagree with us. But maybe someone out there likes these?
