Anyone Want To Buy A Pair Of Tony Parker’s PEAK Lightning Sneakers?
Throughout the 2012-13 NBA season, San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker wore several different versions of his new PEAK sneakers. He stopped running with Nike in 2012 and instead decided to sign an endorsement deal with the Chinese sneaker company PEAK. However, throughout the season, PEAK failed to release Parker’s sneakers commercially. That was probably a pretty wise decision, as most people probably didn’t even realize that Parker was running with PEAK last year. But now that Parker is wearing PEAK for a second straight season, PEAK is going to release his PEAK Lightning sneakers in three different colorways for the upcoming season.
The PEAK Lightning colorways are going to be pretty simple. The first one is a “Spurs Home” sneaker that is going to be available in a White/Silver colorway. The second one is a Red/Black colorway. And the third one is a Silver/Red-Blue colorway that Parker actually wore way back in February during the 2013 NBA All-Star Game. As you can see, all three of the sneakers are pretty plain, which is either a really good thing or a really bad thing depending on what you’re going to plan to do with the sneakers if you buy them. But compared to some of the other Chinese sneakers that we’ve seen out there, these aren’t bad. They’ve also got features like Cushion-3 technology as well as Aerofoam cushioning on the inside.
With all of that being said, is there any way you’re going to buy a pair of these? We have to admit that, unless these are, like, 35 bucks (they’re not), we would probably run with sneakers from one of the more prominent sneakers before we copped a pair of these. But we can appreciate the simplicity in these, and we’re sure that someone out there will buy them. Will that someone be you?
