Watch What Happens When You Stick A Bunch Of Apple iPhones Into A Blender

Are you familiar with the Web series, “Will It Blend?”? If not, it goes a little something like this: A guy named Tom takes something that you normally wouldn’t put into a blender and shoves it inside of one. Then, he puts the top on the blender and starts it up. He waits a few seconds while viewers cringe, runs some slow-mo shots of whatever it is inside of the blender blending, and then stops the blender to see if the items or items that he put inside of it actually blended. It’s completely ridiculous. But he has done a number of episodes of it now, so it’s pretty clear that people enjoy seeing weird stuff get blended together.

Most recently, Tom hosted an episode of “Will It Blend?” that featured him sticking a bunch of Apple iPhone 5Cs into one blender and a gold Apple iPhone 5S into another blender. The goal was simple: Make everyone standing in line for a gold iPhone jealous! Er, okay. That wasn’t the goal. The goal was to see if the iPhones would, in fact, blend by being placed into the blender. If you’re a big fan of the iPhone, then this video will actually be pretty damn painful to watch. But do it anyway, because it’s pretty nuts to see an iPhone take a trip through a blender. You can watch it here:

How ridiculous was that? In the end, Tom finds that the iPhones do break down and blend together after spending some time in a blender. The gold iPhone also gets reduced to dust after taking a trip through the blender. Our only question after seeing this video: IS THIS GUY CRAZY?! Someone reportedly just paid $10,000 for a gold iPhone on eBay. And Tom just ripped one apart like it was nothing. Nothing!

Ha. In the end, he’s getting a lot of attention for doing this. So it’s safe to say that blending the iPhones was well worth it. But what do you think about his little experiment? Was it interesting to you? Or do you think Tom is a total jackass for ruining five iPhones to do this?
