A few weeks ago, we told you all about the Reebok Q96 sneaker that Reebok is planning on releasing later this year. The Reebok Q96 is a modern take on the classic Reebok Question that Allen Iverson wore at the beginning of his career. And we have to admit that we like what Reebok is doing with the Q96. Over the years, the company has struggled to create new basketball sneakers. So why not just stick with what works and build off of sneakers that have worked for them in the past? That’s exactly what they’re doing with the Q96, and we’re willing to bet that people are going to have a positive response to the modernized Questions when they drop.

With the Q96, Reebok has added a lot of modern technology to the original Question to make it a better basketball sneaker all around. For instance, the Q96 is equipped with a modern DMX foam cushioning system that will make it more comfortable on the basketball court. It also has a 3D FuseFrame upper that should make the sneaker lighter and, dare we say, more sleek than the original Question. And overall, the Q96 looks like a polished version of the Question. Does that mean that it’s better than the Question? Absolutely not. We would still choose to wear the Question over the Q96. But when it comes to using it for performance and playing basketball, the Q96 is going to reign supreme.

Do you like what you’re hearing about the Q96? If so, the sneaker should go on sale later this year. In the meantime, we just came across a bunch of detailed photos of the Q96 that show off exactly what the sneakers will look like. Check them out below and then let us know if you’re going to pick up a pair of these when they drop. Do you think that Reebok did the right thing by updating the Question to create the Q96? Or do you wish they would have tried to create something a little more original?
