Rajon Rondo Explains Why He Decided To Sign A Sneaker Deal With ANTA
Last week, we told you all about Rajon Rondo‘s new sneaker endorsement deal. After spending the beginning of his career running with Nike, the Boston Celtics point guard recently decided to jump ship and start running with ANTA, a sneaker company based out of China. He even helped design his first signature sneaker, the ANTA Rondo 1, and seems genuinely excited about the opportunity to be a part of a sneaker company that’s on the come up right now. But why did he decide to start running with ANTA in the first place? That’s a question that a lot of people have asked in the last week or so.
That question gets answered in the video below. During an interview about ANTA, Rondo explains that he is interested in growing his brand and turning himself into an internationally-known basketball player. And the best way to do that, at least according to him, is to take a chance with a Chinese sneaker company.
