Rihanna Channels Medusa & Poses Topless With Snakes In A Spooky Shoot For British GQ
Just in time for Halloween, Rihanna is offering up a serious treat for all of her fans.
Wearing nothing but a wreath of live snakes, the 25-year-old Bajan beauty channels Medusa, despite being deathly afraid of snakes, for the December 2013 issue of British GQ. Equal parts sexy and spooky, Rih-Rih posed topless with her slithery co-stars for the photo shoot that was expertly art directed by Damien Hirst and photographed by Mariano Vivanco.
“Damien Hirst is one of the world’s most highly acclaimed living artists,” the editors of GQ said of the project. “Rihanna is one of the world’s most successful pop icons. To celebrate GQ’s 25th anniversary, these two creative firebrands embarked on an art project the like of which has never been seen before.”
Medusa may have been known for turning anyone that gazed upon her monstrous face into stone in Greek mythology, but one look at these photos and we are sure any man will turn into straight putty in Rih-Rih’s hands. “Medusa head on me like I’m ‘luminati!!!!” Rihanna tweeted. “She. x Damien Hirst #GQ #25thAnniversary #COVER.”
