It must be sooooooo great to be a celebrity sneakerhead. For starters, you can afford any shoe that you want. So even if sneaker companies aren’t willing to send you free kicks, you can go out and buy whatever you want and pay just about any price for it. It also must be great because sneaker companies are constantly sending free sneakers to celebrities. Some of these sneakers are incredibly hard to get for regular people. But celebrities get them because of all the exposure that they give to the sneakers. And finally, it must be great to be a celebrity sneakerhead because sneaker companies also send you sneakers that absolutely no one else has. And that’s what just happened to Usher recently.

Usher turned 35 in the middle of last month. And to help him celebrate, legendary sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield sent him a pair of Air Jordan XI “Pantone” sneakers. The sneakers are not available to the public right now and very well may not ever be available to the public. But Usher now has a pair, courtesy of Hatfield and the good folks over at the Jordan Brand. They feature Carolina blue patent leather with a white midsole and, of course, an icy midsole. And that’s not all. In addition to giving Usher the “Pantone” Jordans, Hatfield also signed them to make them true exclusives. Usher took a photo of him wearing them and put it up on Instagram.

Are you jealous of guys like Usher when it comes to sneakers? They have so many sneakers and are constantly being given sneakers like the Air Jordan XI “Pantone” for their birthdays and other special occasions. So it’s easy to hate on them for it. But at the same time, doesn’t it make you appreciate the sneakers that you have since you’ve worked so hard to get them? Let us know where you stand and what you think about Usher’s new kicks in the comments section below.
