If you’re a big fan of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers, then there’s a good chance that winter is a tough time for you. That’s because Chuck Taylor sneakers are not great to wear in the winter. You can get away with them in the fall. But Chuck Taylors have next to no insulation inside of them and don’t offer up much in terms of warmth in the winter. Just ask anyone who has ever been stuck wearing Chucks in the middle of a snowstorm. You might as well be wearing nothing on your feet at all!

Fortunately, though, Converse has realized that Chuck Taylors aren’t good winter sneakers. And they have created at least one new Chuck Taylor sneaker that will hold up this winter. That sneaker is the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi “Black Leather,” which features everything that you’ve come to know and love about the Chuck Taylor sneaker in addition to a leather upper that will provide more warmth than the canvas material that’s typically used on Chucks. As you can see here, the Chuck Taylor All Star Hi “Black Leather” has the look and feel of a regular Chuck Taylor sneaker. But that leather upper really gives it a boost in terms of wearability in the winter.

We have included a bunch of photos of the new Chuck Taylor All Star Hi “Black Leather” sneaker below. What do you think about it? Would you wear it this winter? Better yet, would you pair it with, say, a leather jacket? Or do you think that adding leather to Chuck Taylor sort of diminishes the look of the sneaker? If you’re interested in picking up a pair of these, they are available right now through select Converse retailers. Let us know if you plan on picking up the “Black Leather” sneaker in the comments section below.
