Can You Believe Dwyane Wade Is Going To Wear These Li-Ning Way Of Wade 2 “Christmas” Sneakers?

When we were first introduced to Dwyane Wade‘s latest signature sneaker, the Li-Ning Way Of Wade 2, a couple months ago, we were actually pretty big fans of what D-Wade and Li-Ning had done with it. That’s because we were fans of the original Li-Ning Way of Wade and were happy to see that they hadn’t changed too much with the follow-up sneaker. It looked like a pretty simple but distinct sneaker that was made to be a solid basketball shoe. But unfortunately, Li-Ning and D-Wade have created some really wild colorways of the Way of Wade 2 so far and it has us second-guessing our original reaction to the sneakers.

The first weird colorway that Li-Ning created was the Way of Wade 2 “Ring Night” sneaker. It featured a whole lot of gold and purple and was…ugh. Let’s just say that we did not like what they came up with. And we’re also not too fond of the new Way of Wade 2 “Christmas” colorway that Wade is slated to wear on December 25 when the Miami Heat take on the Los Angeles Lakers. Li-Ning just released some official photos of it and it is very “ugh“-worthy. It features a bunch of green on the upper, red on the tongue, the heel and the laces, and is definitely very over the top. We get that D-Wade is only going to wear the “Christmas” colorway once. But is this really the best colorway that Li-Ning and D-Wade could come up with for it? It takes the whole “Christmas” theme a little bit too literally for us.

Are we wrong? Is this sneaker actually a lot hotter than we give it credit for? Sadly, we don’t think we are. We think that the Way of Wade 2 “Christmas” sneaker is one sneaker that people will not have on their Christmas list this year. But maybe there are a few people out there who don’t think this sneaker is all that bad. Take a look at it from some other angles in the photos that we have included below and then let us know if you’re actually into this colorway. We’ll be sure to let you know if and when Li-Ning will be making this sneaker available to the rest of the world over the course of the next few weeks.
