With the Real Housewives franchise raking in millions of dollars for Bravo, it’s no surprise that producers are scrambling to get a piece of the pie. Enter the real Caribbean Wives of South Florida.

Created by producer Maxine Tulloch, the CEO of Tulloch Media Communications, the new reality show aims to show how Carribbean women from Jamaica, Haiti, Grenada, the Dominican Republic, and Trinidad work to accomplish the American Dream while balancing marriage, careers and raising children.

“It’s different because there is nothing like it—Hollywood wants the high drama, the fights, the ridiculous conflicts, shock behavior—we bring none of that to the production,” explained Tulloch to the New York Daily News. “Yes, there are conflicts, but they are played out differently, the Caribbean way, with class and dignity; our culture dictates how we behave and it is shown in our production—we are different, America has never seen the Caribbean in its true form. In this production, we expressed the culture as best as possible.”

According to the Miami Herald, the Caribbean Wives of South Florida stars a half-dozen Caribbean wives. “Kendra Parker is a Jamaica-born photographer and mom to a 12-year-old aspiring track star,” the paper reports. “Terryann Ramirez, also from Jamaica, is a mother of two and a radiation therapist who treats cancer patients. Selines Silverio from the Dominican Republic is a financial analyst and personal trainer. Jamaican Cindia Azize is a former model and beauty queen. Brigette Cadet-Young, originally from Haiti, is a Miami police detective. Carmel Moise, also from Haiti, is a publisher. And Dale DeFreitas, who comes from Grenada, is a nurse.”

Caribbean Wives of South Florida will debut with a red carpet premiere in Manhattan on November 15.
