Redman Helps Shaquille O’Neal Tell The Back Story Behind His Reebok Shaq Attaq “Brick City” Sneakers In This Video

Later this month, Shaquille O’Neal is going to be releasing his brand-new Reebok Shaq Attaq “Brick City” sneaker. The sneaker pays homage to Newark, N.J., one of the main cities that helped Shaq develop into the person that he is today. Although Shaq spent much of his childhood moving all over the place, he spent a good portion of it in Newark and it sounds like the city really left an impact on him. Why else would he have asked Reebok to create a special “Brick City” colorway of his Shaq Attaq sneakers to show some love to Brick City?

That’s not all that Reebok did for Shaq, though. In addition to creating the Shaq Attaq “Brick City” sneakers, Reebok also created the video that you see below. It features Shaq going back to Newark recently and talking about how much Newark helped him grow as a person and as a basketball player. He walks through his old school in Newark, observes what the city looks like now, shakes hands with hundreds of young kids, and even does a little dance with Newark’s own Redman to celebrate his return to the city. It will really help give you some good background on Shaq’s love for Newark. Watch the video here:

Does this video help you to understand Shaq’s love for Newark a little bit better? Does it make you more excited about the fact that he is releasing a Shaq Attaq “Brick City” sneaker soon? Are you planning on picking up that sneaker? If so, it will be released on November 29 through select Reebok retailers. Let us know what you think about the video Reebok just released and the sneaker in the comments section below.

Oh, and how awesome was Redman’s appearance in this video? Long time, no see, Red! We hope it’s not the last we hear from you this year.
