Is adidas Preparing To Release A New Mutombo Colorway Soon?

Back in August, adidas re-released their classic adidas Mutombo sneaker for the first time in more than 20 years. And it got a great response from sneakerheads and casual sneaker fans alike. People seemed to really, really, really appreciate the fact that adidas chose to re-release that particular sneaker, and you could make the argument that it was actual more popular this time around than it was the first time that it was released. So it appears as though adidas is going to capitalize off the popularity of the sneaker by re-releasing it again in a different colorway.

What will that colorway look like? Well, unfortunately, we have absolutely no idea at this point. Earlier this week, adidas released the image that you see above as a way of teasing the new colorway. But the teaser image really doesn’t give us any indication of what the sneaker will look like. It doesn’t feature any color on it—unless maybe that’s a hint?—and it doesn’t say anything other than “MUTOMBO” on it. The one thing it does include, though, is a release date for the new Mutombo sneaker. That release date is going to be December 14.

Does this teaser image make you anxious? Are you excited to see what adidas is cooking up with regards to the Mutombo sneaker? Or do you wish they would just come out and tell us what the colorway is going to be? Keep a close eye out for more news on the new Mutombo colorway. We will be sure to update you on it as soon as we find out more information. In the meantime, let us know what colorway you would like to see the Mutombo released in this winter. What would make you run out to the store on December 14 to pick up a pair of adidas Mutombos?
