Sprint Is Worst In Customer Satisfaction

Sprint came in dead last among the four major phone carriers in recent survey of customer satisfaction. But the survey also found that many smaller carriers beat all of the major ones.

The annual Consumer Reports survey of 58,000 subscribers in 23 metro areas found Verizon once again coming out on top among the Big Four, scoring highly for value, quality of network, and customer service.

T-Mobile came in second. Long the last-place finisher of the group, the company has recently begun unbundling services and offering alternatives to traditional two year contracts.

AT&T received low marks for voice service and customer service, but did receive the best marks for its 4G network.

Oregon-based Consumer Cellular received the highest scores of the service. Ironically, it uses the same network as AT&T, but offers voice plans starting at $10 a month, and does not require dedicated phone purchases or long term contracts.

Prepaid smaller carriers TracFone, StaightTalk, and Net10 all also scored higher than the four major carriers.
